National Lnguage

National Language
By T.S. Khanna, Nov. 26, 2010.

For our November 2, 2010 elections, all the state ballots, and the attendant pamphlets were printed in Spanish, in addition to English. What is the justification of the additional expense in the deficit times?

America has immigrants from all over the world. Does it justify conducting the government business in all languages? Why would German, Italian, Chinese, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Persian, Arabic languages be less important than Spanish?

Immigrants must be required to speak and write fluent English. They must learn to adjust. National language is the pillar of a nation. Conducting internal government business in any language other than English is underminig the USA as a nation. This is an invasion on the American nationalism. This is not a partisan issue. This is a national issue.

The persons responsible for deciding to incur the additional public expense of Spanish printing must be required to resign and held accountable.
